Summer Snippet

Summer has been teasing us with warm days intermixed with chilly up here. Today started off a humid 70, dropped to the 60s and rained HARD, then was sunny and 80, now it’s heavy, humid, hot and dark. I’ve been jumping on the nice days and already have a nice little tan (and a prickly little sunburn :) ) from days at the beach. I don’t have a “regular job” since I’m leaving in less than 2 weeks (!) so I’ve been taking it easy for the most part, spending time with family and friends. Despite having a job I’ve managed to keep on my toes. Between doing some work for my dad’s business, my once a week cottage-care gig, photography jobs, seeing friends, helping a friend plan her wedding (I’m the maid of honor+photographer!) and volunteering at the food pantry I’ve kept busy. Not to mention pouring over travel books and websites reading about Spain!

Father’s day at the beach. It was chilly and windy- but the kiteboarders were loving it. I want to learn to kiteboard so bad. On my 25 before 25. 

Didn’t get to kiteboard, but we did rent a couple paddleboards which I LOVE.

Dinner… Sushi+Stir fry with peapods from the garden + kale asian salad.

Father’s day night we went to Mackinaw for the Vespers Cruise.
