Summer Braids

I have been loving my last few days in Michigan. They have been filled with beach dates, coffee stops, long talks with  friends, ultimate frisbee games, loooots of photo editing (I shot a wedding Saturday and have to have the photos mailed out tomorrow before I leave!) I came home about 11:30 last night from a night around the campfire laughing+chatting feeling so blessed. God has given me some wonderful people who I can share this life with. While laying out in the sun yesterday afternoon my darling girl Hannah did my hair up all cute in a waterfall braid. I am awful at anything besides your basic braid, but Hannah is the braid goddess. (I first learned to french braid on my horse’s tail if that tells you anything…) After hours of walking up and down the beach, a few swims and a game of volleyball the braid was still intact and I wanted to snap a few shots before I showered the smoky campfire out of my hair. I love summer. And my friends. So. Much.

I am driving downstate tomorrow afternoon and fly out Saturday! Sooo excited! It seems unreal and I feel like I’ve reached the point where I have done everything I can to get ready but still have a million things to do. Like editing 500 more wedding photos. (Speaking of which… adios amigos I gotta photoshop.)
