Friday // Alcoy, Spain

Friday after camp was finished I went to an  party with Edu and Carlos. Their niece was turning 18 and we went to her family’s beautiful home in the country. They have a pool and we played volleyball while thier Jack Russell yipped and ran around trying to get in on the fun, then dried off and headed to the patio for the best Paella I’ve had so far. (That would be 4 Paellas, no expert by far but this one was sooo goood.) Sara, the English teacher at camp was able to come as well. She is staying with relatives of my host family. After lunch Antonio brought out his pet crocodile. Jeepers. It’s not very big, I learned that like Koi and Goldfish Crocodiles don’t outgrow their environment, but it’s freaky. I had a great time getting to know everyone a little better :)

After the birthday party I went to the English Camp’s “Traditional Spanish Fiesta”. They had music, dancing, food, drinks and it was held in a beautiful old building all decorated up colorfully with lights and flowers.

Some of the girls and guys dressed up in traditional Spanish costumes.

With Aitana, gosh I’m tall.

Returning home after the party….with glitter in my hair =P
