Hi! I’m Alivia. From an idyllic postage-stamp town along Lake Michigan, I grew up bare toes in the garden dirt and fingers entwined in a sassy horse’s mane. Although I love the quiet and peace of a small town, traveling suits me better. Age 17 and ready for a little more life than Petoskey had to offer, I moved to Mexico to dive into the culture, language and food. Upon returning to the States I went back to college, and after graduation was offered a position teaching English for the summer. I twisted on my 50mm lens, slipped into my Chacos, and boarded a plane to Spain, thrilled to be living abroad once again  After consuming enough olive oil to satisfy your average American for a year, I crossed the Atlantic and took a position in New York City. Now working as the Content Coordinator at Plated, the hottest food+tech startup on the block!
